EVENT POLICIES

I’m always happy to sign whatever you want to bring with you to an event! Please note, however, that sometimes event scheduling (for instance, at festivals) means that I have to limit the number of books I can sign and personalize to three books per person. I also request that you please consider supporting the store or festival by purchasing a book while you’re there, even if it isn’t one of mine. All events marked with a 🎟 require a ticket.

I’m also thrilled and humbled by photo requests, so please don’t hesitate to ask—my usual policy is that I remain seated and have you come stand next to me. This helps keep the line moving and saves my back from having to stand and sit repeatedly. I hope to see you soon!

About this event

We are delighted to welcome Alexandra Bracken to discuss the breathtaking conclusion to Silver in the Bone - The Mirror of Beasts. A deliciously addictive high-stakes fantasy duology from the author of Lore, Tamsin must stop Lord Death by finding the legendary Mirror of Beasts, and break the curse before it breaks her.

Alexandra Bracken was born in Phoenix, Arizona. The daughter of a Star Wars collector, she grew up going to an endless string of Star Wars conventions and toy fairs, which helped spark her imagination and a deep love of reading. She sold her first book, Brightly Woven, as a senior in college, and later moved to New York City to work in children's book publishing, first as an editorial assistant, then in marketing. After six years, she took the plunge and decided to write full time. She now lives in Arizona with her tiny pup, Tennyson, in a house that's constantly overflowing with books. Alex is a #1 New York Times, USA TODAY, and internationally bestselling author. Her work has been adapted for feature film and is available across the world in over 20 languages.

Joel Rochester or better know as 'Fictional Fates' is an equal parts speculative fiction writer, dark academian, and content creator. Joel has found notoriety through BookTube & BookTok creating content that fluctuates between in-depth analyses of texts, exploration of new genres and series that he's never read before. Throughout their reading journey, Joel has become driven towards advocating from more representation within literature and recommending books by authors of colour, they have engaged and inspired many to think more in depth about their reading choices, to discover new books they previously have not engaged with before.

Please note: Book and ticket option includes a copy of The Mirror of Beasts (RRP. £18.99) available for collection on the night.

If you are unable to attend on the night, please be aware that we will only be able to reserve your book for up to 2 weeks. Copies must be collected in store.
